Meet Meeko

Well, Elijah is having the time of his life right now.  He got an early birthday gift.  A PUPPY.  My sister in-law Tiffani's dog had puppies on Sept.7 so we got one of the pup's.  The only reason is that I fell in love with her.  She is a Eskimo/Husky and she got the Husky look.  So I get the Husky beauty and the size of small Eskimo. And Elijah gets a dog.

He has been a very good helper.  Even takes her to go potty.  So, get this Sunday I told Elijah he needed to take the puppy outside to go potty.  He took her out and a few minutes later I went out to check on them.   Elijah was about to join her in going to the potty.  Their he was pulling down his pants.  Asked what he was doing and he said "going potty with puppy."  So then it came time to explain were is was and wasn't ok to go potty.  Got Love Him.

Now look at the face below.  She is acting all innocent.  Because if you look below she is trying to get to the onion leaves that dropped on the floor and hadn't sweep up yet.

When I first saw her doing this I couldn't help but feel jealous.  Look at that flexibility.  Wont ever be able to put my self in that position if my life depended on it.

Also one of the newest  members of the family is Benjamin Steven Hansen.  My sister Ruth had him on the 10th of this month.  There are some better pictures of him but I had to show this picture of him.  Check out those lips.  He looks a lot like his brother Glen.

Any way that is it for now.

Six Months To Soon

I can't believe that she is six months already.   When we went in for her physical she is in the 50% in all area's.

She was 17.2 lbs and 26.5 inches long.

Well, every thing is pretty quite here at our house.  Daddy is at work, Uncle Andrew moved out, and Grandma is up at Aunt Ruth's with the new baby.

Oh, did I mention that canning is OVER.   I haven't felt so re leaved since, well,  in a long time.  My intire pantry is full and are bedroom is now a storage area for our food.  I never really understood why mom's room was always a mess.  I do now.  It seems if there isn't any room anywhere else in the house that it ends up in my room.  Poor Adam, when he is home is always tripping over stuff.  It is official, we now have a small one years food storage thanks to Mom's help.  We want more though so we aren't just scrapping by, but at least I can say we would survive for a year. Oh, and I have to make sure I replace what I use.

Anyway, have a great rest of a Sunday day.

New Signed Name

So I changed my signed name on my account to A Learning Mom.  I have decided that my kids are constantly teaching me and I don't realize it till later.  For example, yesterday I was busy with canning (still) and Elijah decide that he needed a sack lunch because daddy had one.  I told him no and that it wasn't time for lunch anyway.  I know I am a mean Mom.  Well, a little while later I found him taking the apples we had picked and putting one apple into all the zip lock baggies.  So I had around 25 baggies with one apple in it.  So, you're wondering what I learned.  Well, I learned that Elijah is just like me.  SCARY!!!  If you don't get what you want you'll find some way of achieving it if possible.

Should Saturday's be allowed to be this busy?

Today we went and picked apples.  We picked way to much.  But it will save a lot of money.  I got about 11 lbs worth done and made into apple sauce.  OK, so it wasn't a lot but it took for ever.  We also listened to conference in between screaming kids and and more screaming kids.  Well, hopefully tomorrow will be better. Here Elijah is helping us get the buckets ready so we could sart picking.

I asked Elijah if he was having fun and he replied "ME Yeah!"

Daddy Picking the apples at the top where Elijah and I couldn't reach.

Me picking apples were I could reach.  Yes, I was lazy and got the one at the bottom.

Ladies who didn't attend the Ladies night out at Deseret Book missed out on some goodies.  We had a blast and for the first time today Elijah actually was good.

So he will be good in a book store but not at home, what is up with that.
