Christmas 2010

Wow, we had a great Christmas.  Though poor Santa forgot to drop off Daddies presents to Grandma Haley's House.  Instead Daddy had to wait to get home to unwrap his gifts that Santa brought.  So while you were looking at the pictures above you may notice that there is somethings that are similar in them.  Can you tell.  Because getting this year picture reminded me a bit of last year.  Since last year Hannah was crying and this year she just had her usual scowl, I am hoping next year she will have a little smile.  I can hope right.

After visiting Santa we let the kids play at the mall kids area since they haven't been able to play out side.  Elijah wasn't to happy to leave as usual.  But that just means that he enjoyed him self as did Adam and I.
This year we went down to Grandma and Grandpa Haley's and uncle David's.  It was really nice to be down their and watch the kids with the Grandparents that they don't get to see as often as we would like.  It didn't take long for the kids to be crawling all over them.   The night before Daddy showed Elijah were he could find Santa.  NORAD, keep track of were Santa is, so Elijah had a blast showing Grandma Haley all about it.  The next day we had lunch with all the Haley side and a couple other family friends.  We all had fun, especially since this year we were the subject to the gag gift, if you would call it that.  I thought it was cute though.  See, the first year Adam and I were married or was it the second, I can't remember, but we were the givers to a gag gift to David, who is Adam;s brother.  I would tell you what it is but will save you from such a thought.  But I do have to say I think we are still on top.  Sorry Brittney and Jonathan.   For those that do not know Adam loves Dragons and I love Horses.  So we were given little stuffed animals from Shrek.  The Donkey and the Dragon.  Now if we could find there kids, it would be perfect.
The kids waiting for us to say it is OK to go into the living room.  When we were able to start celebrating Christmas My Mom had a rule that we could not come wake her up or go to the living room till 7 a.m.  And this is one tradition that is going to stick.  Hannah was the first to wake at 7:30 following a forceful wake for Elijah by his sister.  Lucky us, after telling him that Santa had been here he cheered up very quickly.
When he saw his stocking. I am so glad that I got this shot.  It made my morning.

Who can resist a face like this.
So look at this picture closely.  My BIL David said this was the perfect 50's, or something like that, picture.  Here is Hannah in her play kitchen, wearing high heels in a dress out fit.
Hannah very happy about the out fit that her (aunt) Anna got her for Christmas.  Hannah really is turning in to a little girl.  It is hard to believe that one year ago she was still didn't sit up much and were she is now.  Time is an amazing thing.  To bad every one of us want control over it.  I love this Christmas Season.  Love how people can be so thoughtful and loving.  Thanks to all those that make our lives so special.
Well, hope every one has a great New years.

First Snow Man

So this is the lamest thing ever but I have never managed to make a snow man.  Ever.  Adam had to to tell me the secret of doing it.  And yesterdays snow was to secret for me to do it.  Very wet and sticky, perfect.  So not only did I manage to make My first snow man but so did Elijah.  Going out side before I had kids was, well not my favorite thing in the world, unless is was to go hiking and swimming, but definitely not in the winter, just to cold.  But now that I have kids it is OK to adventure outside a bit more.  Trust me I would still prefer to hide away in a nice warm house but watching Elijah's face last night was just to perfect.  And to think I only went out side to clear a path to get the garbage cans to the curb.

Hannah looking at the snow man and not quit sure what to think of it.
The arms of the snow man are from the many rose bushes around our place.  Might as well have those frozen branches go to use right.
This is some of Hannah's art work, she draws a lot so this just gives you a idea of what is is like.  This is for my benefit, because more then likely you really don't care about other kids scribbles. I haven't done this in a while, so there was a large stack to take care of.
The ones below are Elijah's
For those who haven't seen my previous post on posting my kids drawings, I take pictures of there projects because there are just to many to hold on to.  Then when then have lost there appeal to the kids I take the picture and then, I know close your eyes or hurry and log out so you don't see me say this, but I throw them away.  Ya, the first time I did that I thought I would die and was going to regret doing it, but after seeing all the stashes my Mom held on to and stuff and just don't have the room to do it.  Any way I am blabbering on so I will most after Christmas or Holiday fun when it is all done.

November Fun

Sorry, I know my posts tend to be a bit long, but I love pictures and so I have to share.
Elijah and Hannah do pretty well at sharing, most of the time.
The weekend of the 5th we decorated our tree.  This is the first year since we have been married that we haven't gone to get a real tree.  But It had been to hard to get up the mountains and get a tree.  So we decided to invest in a fake tree last year when they were on sale.  At least till the kids are older and well when we ever get a truck.

Elijah being so excited.  Hence the reason I get few pictures of him now a days.
Punk kid.  One of these days I will get a few good ones.
The best pillow ever, well when you don't feel good enough to find the real pillow any way.
Last night we had the Day family Christmas dinner at my Uncle Cary's house.  We had a lot of fun, talking, playing chimes, watching kids play, and playing games.  The picture above is with my Grandma Harrington with her great grand kids.  Most of them anyway.  Elijah didn't want to be in the picture and there were a couple babies that weren't in it either but still got a a lot of them.
 Hannah chillin.

We had a great night.
