Elijah's Birthday Party

Last Wednesday night we celebrated Elijah's birthday.  We had Grandma and Grandpa Haley, and Tiffanie's kids over for cake and ice cream.  Elijah wanted Optimis Primes truck and trailer as his cake this year.  This is as close as it was going to get to looking like it.  Which is ok because Elijah loved it.

I love that so far my kids love every thing that they ever open.  This year he got a robot from the Haley grandparents, Thomas the Train Lego set from the Watson Grandparents, a scooter, pads, and an out fit from us and Hannah, and a optimis prime Lego set from his Uncle Andrew.
So you have to check this picture of the pumpkin pie I made this year.  This is the first year I have made a pir by myself.  Well, Adam did make the crust.  But I mean it is pathetic that I have never made a pie with out my Mom's help before or I have bought it at the store.  But I really had fun making it.  I also made a cherry pie with the cherries that we picked this spring.

Happy 5th Birthday Elijah

Elijah turned 5 today.  Time seems to have gone bye so fast.  I could not have imagined the things he brings into my life.  Love, Patience, understanding, creativity, and yes sometimes headaches.  He has grown so much this year.  His speech has sky rocketed, it is not often that I can't understand him.  He reminds me often at how much I need to stop and listen, not to just him, but to every thing around me.  I love that he knows how much we love him.  He doesn't go but a couple hours with out coming up to me tell me He loves me.  I am grateful that he feels comfortable to that and that it doesn't bother him for me to tell him constantly through out the day.  I don't want him to think that I never said or felt that for him.  Though he has his moments of stubbornness that gets him in trouble it is also a strength that he has that makes him do things that I would never thought he could do at his age.  His loves are, trucks, the color red, transformers,  coloring, drawing, cutting, and gluing.  He loves to help with anything that I am doing.  Most of the time I don't mind him helping.  He is an amazing little guy.  Know I'll just have to remember to come back and read this when he is in trouble.  :)    Happy Birthday Elijah.

Bowling Fun

So Elijah has been bugging us to take him bowling so last week end that is what we did.  The kids had fun pushing the bowling ball down the ramp.  Elijah was  a hoot watching his reaction each time his turn came up.  Hannah was hilarious as she tired and succeeded in caring the bowling ball by her self.

And of course they we were supportive of each other during their turns.

Elijah and his snow angel.
So I read this thing on line about an easy way to clean the grates on the stove.  And the surprising thing is that is really worked.  Take a gallon baggy and put one grate in it.  Be careful not to tare the bag.  then put 2 T. spoons of ammonia in the bag.  Seal it up for 12 hours and all you really have to do is wipe off after words.  I wood do it right after dinner and so it is ready to clean before breakfast.

And I just had to share this picture of Hannah, Elijah, and Cousin Sarah.

So I thought a couple of people would get a kick out of this story.  A couple weeks ago we were sitting in church and Hannah was looking at a book with pictures of Christ.  All of a sudden she points at a picture of Jesus were he is were the red robe.  She points at him and says Jesus Super Hero.  It took me a sec to figure out why, then I realized she thought he was wearing a cape.  But how true is that statement that he is your super hero.

No pictures of this because. you really don't want to see what I did to my car last night.  So I was giving my sister in law a hard time because she has a talent of hitting deer on Lund Highway.  Well be careful when giving people a hard time because it come back and bite you in the butt.  Driving home last night I hit a deer.  Now for my sister her car usually just gets a ding or a broken mirror, easy fix things.  Now, I had to go all out and really do things good.  This deer totally smashed the front of my van.  So other then being a little sore today we are all fine, except my poor van, the stupid deer, and my poor wallet.

Any way I get a much needed weekend next week.  I get to go up to time out for women.  The best Birthday gift.

Wyoming and Halloween

So last month my parents moved to Rock Springs because of a job transfer.  I was able to go up and help her get get some thing unpacked.  We hadn't planned on leaving till after Church to head up to Salt Lake to load things up to take Wyoming, but Adam got stuck in Salt Lake for the weekend so we headed up early.  The kids had fun playing with cousins and tired talking me in to letting them stay.

So after staying in Salt Lake for the week end and having a night away with Adam and no kids we headed out Monday to Wyoming.  We help unpack what we could and we enjoyed doing a couple things while up their.  One of the high lights for is going out on a route to see some wild horses.  We some Wild horses, deer and antelope.  I also got some shots of some great sunsets.  After a couple days though the kids were ready to go home.  Friday we headed home.  A seven and a half hour drive, and the kids did great.

For Halloween the year Elijah want to me Mario.  He loves playing Mario party 8 on the Wii.  They enjoyed going to our neighbor hood truck or treat.
Grandma Watson got Hannah some ponies as a prize for be good on the trip.  She played right here in the hall way for 4 hours playing with them.  Elijah played for a little bit and then he turned back to his cars.  He got a car that looks like Bumble Bee.
The kids are doing great, they are growing up so fast.  I Love these little munchkins and the blessing they are in my life.

Elijah's Creations (Today's anyway)

Grandma has been down visiting with us this last week while recouping from surgery.  So Elijah was able to spend some time playing Mario party 8 with her.  He loves those types of games.
I have posted before about Elijah's love for coloring and making amazing things with paper.  He has become even more creative.  Well in his mommies eyes any way. Give him paper, crayons, glue, tape and scissors and he will do amazing things.

 Here is a cow.
 Lighting McQueen.
And believe it or not this is a Bat.  Check out the teeth.

And because Elijah had his picture taken, Hannah needed hers taken to.

Picture Over Load!!!!

So you ready for load full of pictures.  We have had a lot of fun the last several weeks.  A couple weeks ago we were invited to this cute little angel's birthday.  The kids had fun eating pizza, ice cream, and swimming.

Hannah and Elijah have a special talent for making my floor look like it has been re carpeted with paper.  They had a fun afternoon one day making pirate hat's and princess hats.  They both very artistic.

Elijah and Hannah love juice.  In order for them to have it though they have to help make it.  They don't mind at all as you can see.  I had one picture were they were actually fighting over who was going to stir.  This has been a common thing in the house lately.  They either get along great or they are fighting like cats and dogs.

OK, don't get to grossed out.  I was at the computer doing so work when I turned around this is what I saw.  When I asked her why she put pretzels up her nose, she said she was a "wo wuse," it took me a minute to figure out that she was saying "Walrus."  And here I thought there tusks came from there mouth.  Guess I was wrong. :)

Hannah's most comfortable positions to sleep.  Some times looking at here while she sleeps can be quit painful to see.
This weekend my parents came down for a visit.  We had a great time at the fair.  The kids loved the motorcycle kids ride, the little boat ride and Elijah had fun riding some older rides with me.  He loved them the crazy kid.  However he will not talk me in to riding the fares-wheel again.

Uncle Andrew and Grandma Watson had fun to.

After some fun at the fair we came back to town and took every body to get some ice cream and the Krave.  I love the place.  It is one place every body can get some thing that agrees with special diets.  Gluten free, sugar free, and lost of choices for the kids.  When we first got their I was showing my parents what they had, we turned around and Elijah had already filled ice bowl with what he wanted.  It took way more then I would have let him get, but his smile and look of I did it my self, I let him have all of it.  And he actually ate it all.

We also went up to Minersville lake for some boating fun.  The kids always love the water and can't get enough of it.

Elijah and Daddy, getting the fishing polls ready.  Turns out we couldn't use them because we had the wrong bait.  But we still had lots of fun.

Sunday night we had taco salad and Hannah's usual love for food shown through.  Look at that face.  I promise she really can be the little prince when she eats and then other time like that night she... well... she is Hannah.  Hope you enjoy the pictures.
